Situated in pristine Bushveld, six hours from Johannesburg and the OR Tambo International Airport, Maroi African Safaris is owned by Hannes Nel.
Maroi African Safaris mainly operates on the Maswiri Maroi Limpopo Conservancy. It was a vision of Andries Fourie, Hannes Nel and Bernard Lategan to drop fences between farms to create an area where game could roam freely. It is with their dedication, vision and rare understanding of the land and its finely balanced ecosystem that this unique place was brought to its full potential.
Maswiri Maroi Limpopo Conservancy is the most northern hunting concession in South Africa. Situated on the banks of the mighty Limpopo River; the Conservancy is a mosaic of scenic landscapes, a fascinating cultural heritage and an abundance of wildlife species. It is an experience that only unfolds through personal presence.
Maroi African Safaris caters for the hunting of various species of wild animals on more than 10 000 hectares /24 000 acres of pristine Mopani, mixed Bushveld and dense river reign bush.
The conservancy has exceptional game and offers sightings of some of the best specimens of South Africa's plains game, dangerous game and most extraordinary wildlife. Particularly impressive in numbers, our population of large plains game such as gemsbok, eland, zebra, kudu, blue wildebeest, giraffe and waterbuck and medium plains game species such as nyala, warthog bushbuck and impala enchant our guests with frequent sightings and close-range viewing.
Professional Hunters and Trackers provide guests with an unmatched African Odyssey.
Maroi African Safaris supports a regulated, sustainable management and conservation regime for game species.
