Maroi African Safaris caters for the local hunter as well as for the foreign hunter. We have a wide variety of game and game birds to offer on our 10 000 hectares / 24 000 acres of pristine Mopani, mixed Bushveld.
Fresh Water Fishing
The Maswiri Dam is approximately 60 Hectares big and situated on the Maswiri Maroi Limpopo Conservancy about 18km from Beitbridge Border Post near Musina in the Limpopo Province Of South-Africa.

Lourens Mostert
Game Farm Manager And Head Professional Hunter

Lourens Mostert was born in Pretoria, South Africa on the 11th of May 1987. He started working at Maroi African Safaris in August 2007 as a junior game farm manager and assistant professional hunter.

His potential as a game farm manager and professional hunter was recognized by management, and in a short period of time he became the game farm manager and head professional hunter at Maroi. He is a licensed Big game Professional Hunter to provide the best quality South African Hunting Safaris.

Lourens is hardworking and energetic. He does all the duties required as a game farm manager, including managing the team of trackers, keeping all the camps at Maroi Conservancy at a high standard, managing the bookings and ensuring that our clients are always satisfied.

He is a self-driven person who will manage Maroi African Safaris and the Maswiri Maroi Limpopo Conservancy sustainably to ensure that future generations can enjoy our beautiful country and experience the ultiimate South African Hunting Safaris.

Ben Ferreira
Freelance Professional Hunter

Ben Ferreira was born in Phalaborwa, South Africa on the 17th of April 1969. He has been working at Maroi African Safaris as a freelance PH and Eco-tour guide since 2002.

Ben obtained his Professional Hunter’s license in 1996. He is very experienced in this field of work and with years of knowledge to provide the best South African Hunting Safaris.

Ben will always make sure that clients are 100% satisfied. He is very good at what he does, and his knowledge about the Bushveld is unbelievable and he is always willing to share it.

Julious Heyneke
Freelance Professional Hunter, Big Five Hunter And Eco-tour Guide

Julious was born in Musina, South Africa on the 19th of November 1984. He started working at Maroi African Safaris in 2011 as a freelance professional hunter, Big Five hunter and Eco-tour guide.

With his special love for the Bushveld, he was about pursuing a career in that field from a young age, he has guided many foreign visitors for the last nine years. Besides his native tongues, English and Afrikaans, he also speaks some Spanish.

Julious is a very sociable person who enjoys working with people, thus sharing his vast amount of knowledge on everything nature holds for that ultimate South African Hunting Safaris experience.

Luyambo Mbedzi
Assistant Chef And Lodge Maintenance

Luyambo Mbedzi was born and raised in Beitbridge, Zimbabwe on the 27th of February 1976. She came to South Africa in 1998.

Luyambo started working at Maroi African Safaris as an assistant chef in 2008. She also assists with the lodge maintenance at Maroi to ensure a comfortable and peacefull South African Hunting Safaris experience.

Servious Moyo
Head Chef

Servious Moyo is the Head Chef at Maroi African Safaris. He started working on Maroi African Safaris at 2012 and has been cooking some world class meals for our guests in Camp for that special South African Hunting Safaris experiece in wine and dining.

He is a very pleasant and well motivated individual who strives to deliver a great service to all guests.

George Shoko
Gardener And Lodge Maintenance

George Shoko was born and raised in Beitbridge, Zimbabwe on the 1st of June 1969. He came to South Africa in 1996.

George started working at Maroi African Safaris on 7 February 2001. He maintains the lodge garden and is always there to assist the other staff in lodge maintenance.

Fadzai Mukarati
Lodge Maintenance

Fadzai Mukarati was born in Masvingo, Zimbabwe on the 27th of January 1976. She moved to South Africa in 2003 where she also started working at Maroi African Safaris.

Fadzai assists in the maintenance of the lodge. She prepares the rooms for the clients on a daily basis, and she ensures that everything is up to standard for the best and ultimate South African Hunting Safaris experience while staying at our establishment.

Anna Banda
Laundry Lady

Anna Banda was born in Masvingo, Zimbabwe on the 26th of July 1973. She came to South Africa in 2010 and started working at Maroi African Safaris in the same year. Anna works in the citrus pack house, but she also does laundry for the River Luxurious Tent Camp.

Christopher Sibanda
Tracker And Head Of Surveillance

Christopher Sibanda was born in Beitbridge, Zimbabwe on the 10th of January 1971. He came to South Africa in 2002 and started working at Maroi African Safaris in the same year.

Christopher leads a team of trackers at Maroi, and he also scouts the area with his vehicle to ensure that The Maswiri Maroi Limpopo Conservancy is under complete surveillance.

Christopher also serves as a driver and a tracker for clients while on their South African Hunting Safaris.

Douglas Sibanda
Tracker And Game Scout

Douglas Sibanda was born in Beitbridge, Zimbabwe on the 10th October 1985. He started working at Maroi African Safaris in 2009 where he joined Maroi’s team of trackers.

The "Tracker Team" at Maroi African Safaris has phenomenal tracking skills.

Terubona Ndlovu
Tracker, Skinner, Driver And Lodge Maintenance (Mozambique)

Terubona Ndlovu was born in Gwanda, Zimbabwe on the 16th of March 1970. He moved to South Africa in 2004 and started working at Maroi African Safaris in 2007.

Terubona has excellent tracking skills. He is also a skinner and a trustworthy driver. Terubona accompanies the Mozambique Tours where he helps the local staff at the Shipwreck Lodge in Mozambique with lodge maintenance.

Enock Mutero
Skinner And Game Scout

Enock Mutero was born in Mwnez, Zimbabwe on the 8th of August 1954. He moved to South Africa in 2007 where he started working at Maroi African Safaris.

Enock is a skinner and assists in game scouting. He also keeps good maintenance at the skinning shed.

Naison Dube
Tracker And Game Scout

Naison Dube was born in Lupane, Zimbabwe on the 23rd of December 1963. He moved to South Africa in 2006 and started working at Maroi African Safaris.

Naison works as a game scout and a tracker, and he is in his best element when tracking the Big Five. His love for the Bushveld contributes to his talent of tracking.

Tanel Mapitikoti
Tracker, Skinner And Game Scout

Tanel Mapitikoti was born in Mberengua, Zimbabwe on the 6th of November 1955. He moved to South Africa in 2007, and started working at Maroi African Safaris.

Tanel is a game scout, skinner and tracker and plays a very important role in assisting our tracking team.

Samuel Muleya
Tracker And Game Scout

Samuel Muleya was born in South Africa on the 27th of January 1964. He started working at Maroi African Safaris in April 2010

Samuel is a game scout at Maroi, and he is also a part of the tracking team.

Crispen Maihlome
Tracker And Game Scout

Crispen Maihlome was born in Mnene, Zimbabwe on the 16th of April 1976. He came to South Africa in 2008 and started working at Maroi African Safaris.

Crispen is a game scout and a tracker. He is excellent in what he does.

Musekiwa Chiremba
Tracker, Driver, Skinner And Game Scout

Musekiwa Chiremba was born in Buhera, Zimbabwe on the 24th of January 1973. He  came to South Africa and started working at Maroi African Safaris on the 27th of October 2010

Musikiwa is a game scout, driver and tracker.

Freedom Nkululeko Musingarambwi
Game Scout And Tracker

Freedom was born on 20th March 1981in Gokwe, Mashonaland, South Zimbabwe. He started working on Maroi African Safaris on the 13th of May 2009. He has shown great skills in tracking and guiding over the past years.

Freedom has contributed immensly towards the tracking team on Maroi.

Lawrence Sibanda
Tracker And Game Scout

Lawrence was born on the 4th of January 1963 at Mabhidi, Beitbridge, Zimbabwe. He began working on Maroi African Safaris on 19 January 2012.

He is an experienced individual, showing great skills in tracking. He has a love of the bush and it's inhabitants.

 

Alphios Siziba
Bush Camp Maintenance And Game Scout

Alphios was born on 24 September 1988 in Mabhidi, Beitbridge, Zimbabwe. He started working on Maroi African Safaris on the 1st of June 2014.

He is responsible for the maintenance in the Bush Camp and keeps the camp clean and ready for Local hunters. Alphios can also track very well and when necessary, he helps with tracking and scouting.
